Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and Geology

With its myriad of interesting geological features, Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is the perfect place to enthuse and educate. Yorkshire's oldest rock formations provide fascinating insights into millions of years of our planet's history.

From Carboniferous to Precambrian and Flute Casts to Ripple Marks, Ingleton Waterfalls Trail provides a unique opportunity to bring classroom theory to life.

To help prepare for educational visits we have provided a 14 page document that details the history and features of the geology to be found along our trail (along with some interesting flora). We are very grateful to the Craven & Pendle Geological Society for allowing us to reproduce this content that can also be found on their website.
